Among them, the most troublesome was the inability to set different ringtones for different SIM cards on my Pixel device. I use two different SIMs, one for personal and the other for work purposes, and assign different ringtones to each. As a result, whenever the phone rings, I can easily identify whether it’s from work or family and then depending on the situation, could decide whether to accept that call or decline it. So the inability to carry out this task resulted in a great deal of inconvenience. Fortunately, we did manage to find out a nifty workaround using which you could get this job done. So without further ado, let’s check it out.
How to Set Different Ringtones for Different SIMs in Pixel
In order to carry out this task, we will be using the popular automation app Automator [haven’t tested out with Tasker yet]. So download and install it from Play Store. Then launch it and you will have to create a new flow that will wait for an incoming call, determine the called sim card, and depending on that, it will set the ringtone accordingly. You could refer to the below flow for reference.
Or you could also import the already created flow [extract ZIP first] to the Automator app and get the job done [Credits: XDA Senior Member mikebb00]. However, before starting the flow, make sure to change the Subscriber ID and the ringtone URLs accordingly. To import, tap on the overflow icon situated at the top right and select Import, then navigate to the downloaded file, select it, and hit Import.
So these were the steps to set different ringtones for different SIM cards on your Pixel device. If you have any queries concerning the aforementioned steps, do let us know in the comments. We will get back to you with a solution at the earliest.
